GOTR Coach Application

Coach Requirements

  • GOTR coaches must be 18 years old
  • All coaches must complete a background check and become CPR/First Aid certified. GOTR will reimburse Coaches for the cost of both and assist in providing arrangements for certification
  • Coaches must be available a total of four (4) hours per week, inclusive of prep time, for a 13 week period
  • Coaches are asked to make every attempt to be at each session but to miss no more than 3 sessions
  • The majority of our programs run immediately after school with the exception of those programming at YMCA’s. The timing of the programs is either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday and may start as early as 2:45 PM, lasting 1.5 hours
  • All new coaches must attend GOTR Coach Training held on a Saturday prior to the start of the season. In addition, all coaches must attend the Mid-Season Coach Meeting which is held mid-way through the season on a weekday evening.
